PRESS RELEASE: Available for immediate release
Newcastle Upon Tyne, 7th October 2024. After a long, successful, and exciting career with IoSCM, CEO Jacky Stansfield Smith announces her decision to resign from her position with the Institute.
As we celebrate 12 years since the creation of IoSCM, I have the unique opportunity to reflect on the beginnings of the Institute, from the initial ideas and first steps, witnessing the growth of understanding in the importance of professional development within the supply chain industry, being excited about the impact our qualifications and membership has for our learners and organisations, to the position of influence we now hold within the global supply chain industry. I’m personally in awe of what we’ve achieved.
This is only the start, as IoSCM continues to evolve, through exploring opportunities, embracing change, highlighting challenges, and pushing boundaries there is little wonder that the supply chain industry is now better informed, more cohesive and increasingly aspirational as a career choice for many.
Since being driven to make a change in the industry I love, 2012 seems simultaneously a long time ago, and very recent! My tenure as CEO for the past 6 years has been both a pleasure and privilege, the time has now come for me to step aside to allow the enthusiasm, energy, and expertise of the senior management team within IoSCM to continue to move the organisation forward.
I’m honoured to remain on the IoSCM Advisory Council, and to continue in my role as an Ambassador for the Institute, these opportunities will enable me to continue to witness first-hand the continued impact and influence of IoSCM on the global supply chain industry, such exciting times ahead.
Warmest regards,
J Stansfield Smith
