The IoSCM Annual Awards 2024
IoSCM proudly hosted another successful awards evening, uniting industry leaders, distinguished professionals, and influential organisations from across the supply chain sector. This highly anticipated event celebrated the achievements, innovation, and dedication of those who are shaping the future of the supply chain and the wider industry.
The Sustain Chain Awards
The evening commenced with the first segment of the ceremony, featuring The Sustain Chain Awards. This IoSCM initiative was established to support businesses in addressing the environmental and economic impacts of industry on the planet, reflecting the growing demand for sustainable practices in business. The Sustain Chain Awards celebrate organisations that lead by example, championing sustainability through impactful actions and innovative solutions across the industry.
The awards included eight distinct categories proudly supported by an impressive lineup of sponsors.

The Outstanding Contribution to Sustainable Improvements in the Supply Chain award honoured The Brick for its exceptional impact in tackling poverty and reducing waste. Keely, CEO of The Brick, said,

The Highlights of The Sustain Chain Awards
Single-use plastic is a major contributor to industry waste, so Delivering Positive Change in the Reduction of Single-Use Plastics received its own category. Mayborn Group (Tommee Tippee) received this award due to their commitment to eliminating single-use plastics from their operations.
Commitment to Reducing Carbon Emissions was awarded to Lumo Trains for their pioneering efforts as Britain’s first 100% electric train fleet. The Delivering Corporate Social Improvement Within Business award went to RelyOn Nutec for their exceptional commitment to safety, responsibility, and sustainability, and Thorn Lighting earned the Sustainability Champion title. Teesside Airport won the Dedication to Creating a Safe Working Environment award, while Finlays received the Delivering Sustainable Improvements Within the Workplace award.
Finally, the Award for Outstanding Charity or Community Project celebrated The Military Veteran Football Club for their inspiring efforts to support veterans of the Armed Forces and their wider community.
The Supply Chain Awards
The second segment of the evening showcased the highly anticipated Supply Chain Awards, the main event of the night. These prestigious awards celebrate the professionals and businesses leading the way in supply chain innovation and excellence, recognising their unwavering commitment, dedication, and impact. Honouring those who set the highest standards, the Supply Chain Awards highlight the remarkable achievements of individuals and organisations driving the industry forward. The awards featured eleven distinct categories, each proudly supported by a prominent organisation within the industry.

Celebrating Success
The Contribution to Innovation award honoured Daniel Beatty, Global Product and Packaging Productivity Manager at Mayborn Group, for leading the initiative to reduce single-use plastics within the organisation. Ssgt Billy Piper was honoured with Special Recognition for Advancing the Professional Development of Our Armed Forces, while the Defying the Odds award was awarded to Lilyana Videnova for her outstanding commitment to her studies.
Futura Foods received the Contribution to Education award due to their strong commitment to employee training and development. Another organisation recognised for putting employees first was Walker Filtration, which earned Employer of the Year for their commitment to employee well-being.
Owen Lewis received the Learner of the Year award, while David Clark was recognised as Member of the Year for his advocacy for professional development. The Contribution to Wider Supply Chain Improvement award went to Essex Services Group, and Gary Calveley won Contribution to the Wider Supply Chain Industry.
The Special Award Categories of 2024
The Young Achiever of the Year – The Philip Chaganis Award, was awarded to Robert Derbyshire for achieving a Level 5 qualification with limited experience, and Peter Cottle was honoured with the Celebrating Excellence within the Supply Chain – The Kevin Rumfitt Award. Each of these awards reflects the valuable contributions of individuals and organisations driving progress within the supply chain.
